England footballer Jack Grealish has become a father for the first time as he and girlfriend Sasha Attwood have welcomed their first child.
The baby - named Mila Rose Grealish - was born on September 27, but her birth was not officially announced until Monday night.
“The most special moment of my life,” wrote Attwood, 28, on Instagram, where she posted a black-and-white photo of the baby holding a hand.
The couple are childhood sweethearts, having been together since meeting at school in Solihull as teenagers. They announced in July that they were expecting a baby.
“Life’s biggest blessing,” Grealish, 29, wrote to his nine million Instagram followers at the time, as he shared a photo of his and Sasha’s hands on her bump.
Friends and fans were quick to share their delight at news of Mila’s birth on Instagram.
Megan Pickford, wife of Grealish’s England teammate Jordan Pickford, wrote: “Perfection. Love you so much already Mila Rose. Auntie megs can’t wait to buy you frilly socks and tutus xxx”
YouTuber Emily Canham wrote: “Oh you chose the perfect name for her! Congratulations angel”
Grealish’s sister, Kiera Grealish, described Mila as a “beautiful girl”, adding: “Love her”.
