Iconic American whiskey brand Jack Daniel's has announced it first new premium products for a quarter of a century. The Jack Daniel Distillery has introduced two additions - Jack Daniel’s Bonded Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash Blended Straight Whiskey - both produced from its original HQ.
The perfect new addition to any whiskey aficionado’s cabinet, Jack Daniel’s Bonded brings a richer, darker body for drinkers to savour each sip, hand selected for their unique characteristics of deeper colour, flavour and aroma. Big and bold at 50% ABV, whiskey lovers will enjoy layered notes of caramel, rich oak and spice, giving way to a pleasantly lingering finish.
Meanwhile Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash is a blend of Bonded American Malt, Rye and Tennessee Whiskeys at 100 proof (50% abv). It delivers notes of honey, malt and soft oak leading to a long lasting well rounded finish Triple Mash is a blend of three straight Bottled-In-Bond whiskeys – 60% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, 20% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and 20% Jack Daniel’s American Malt.
Both are the first two permanent expressions in the brand’s new Bonded Series, new releases specially curated from barrel to bottle to hold up against the strict specifications outlined in the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 - a bonded whiskey must be distilled and bottled by a single distiller during a single season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
Packaging is inspired by the original design of the 1895 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle, honouring over 150 years of whiskey making excellence. Jack Daniel’s is the oldest registered distillery in the United States, with every drop still being produced and bottled in Lynchburg, Tennessee to this day.
The classic Jack flavour comes from the unique way in which the famous ‘Old No.7’ brand is made. It uses the finest corn, rye and barley malt, and pure, iron-free water from the distillery’s Cave Spring, within the distillery before being mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal, and then aged in hand-crafted, charred American oak barrels.
Whiskey fans can get their hands on the latest Jack Daniel’s Bonded and Triple Mash bottles from 1st July via specialist retailers including Master of Malt, Hard to Find Whisky and The Whisky Shop, with an RRP of £45 for 70cl.
