The Grizzlies evened up the series against the Lakers on Wednesday, grabbing an important win on their home court before the series flips to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.
Ja Morant was unavailable during the Game 2 victory while nursing a hand injury he sustained in Game 1. Despite him not suiting up, Morant, and his daughter, were in attendance for the game to cheer on Memphis.
After the game, Morant and his daughter were interviewed on the court, during which she delivered his classic one-liner to the fans at the FedEx Forum.
“There’s a parade inside my city, yeah,” said Kaari Morant, who was being held by her father while they stood next to Jaren Jackson Jr.

Morant has made a point of using that phrase, which is a song lyric from rapper NBA YoungBoy's song, Fresh Prince of Utah, a mainstay in the postgame for the Grizzlies after wins.
Now, his three-year-old daughter is chiming in, echoing the line from her father after Memphis’ crucial victory in Game 2.
In Morant’s absence, it was Xavier Tillman who led the Grizzlies in scoring, providing 22 points. Jackson Jr. had 18 points while Desmond Bane chipped in 17.
Game 3 of the series will be in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 22. The Grizzlies will be hoping Morant will be able to return from the injury that kept him sidelined on Wednesday.
