Ja’Marr Chase jokes about Joe Burrow jumping out of plane after wrist surgery

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase says quarterback Joe Burrow is talking about jumping out of an airplane after his wrist surgery.

Kind of, at least.

Appearing on Rich Eisen’s show, Chase got asked about Burrow’s status after surgery and things spiraled in an interesting direction.

“He’s not even worrying about his surgery. He’s worrying about jumping out of a plane with a parachute right now,” Chase said. “Joe didn’t even act like he had surgery. He started to talk about jumping out of an airplane with a parachute.

Chase went on to clarify that this was moreso a conversation about Burrow wondering why all people on planes don’t wear parachutes than a suggestion that Burrow is about to go skydiving.

It’s a hilarious interview — and it sure seemed like Chase was just messing around until he thought about how media might spin this. Chase has been known to mess with the media for fun and if nothing else, it’s clear Burrow is doing just fine and it’s a really entertaining chat.
