J-K police release sketches of three terrorists involved in recent encounter in Doda

Doda: After the recent terror incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, the police released sketches of three terrorists who were involved in a recent terror incident in the Urar Bagi area of Dessa in Doda district.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police shared that the terrorists were moving in the upper reaches of Doda and Dessa area of the state.

The police have also announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for providing information for each of them. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Police (District Doda) appealed to public to provide information about the presence or movement of these terrorists, adding that the identity of the informer will be kept secret.

Some security personnel were reportedly injured during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's (J-K) Doda district last week.

According to officials, a joint operation was launched by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir police following an exchange of fire with terrorists in Dessa area of the district. Additional troops were called in to tighten the cordon.

"Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation by Indian Army and JKP was in progress in General area North of Doda. Contact with terrorists was established tonight at about 2100h in which heavy firefight ensued," the White Knights Corps said in a post on X.

"Initial reports suggest injuries to our bravehearts. Additional troops have been moved into the area. Operations are continuing," White Knights Corps added. (ANI)
