J&K LG announces decision to declare Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday a public holiday; notification soon

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to declare Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary a public holiday. A notification in this regard will be issued soon.

It was the then Maharajha Hari Singh who had signed the Instrument of Accession of J&K to India in 1947 after Pakistani army and raiders attacked the state.
