Trigger Point reached a nail-biting end on Sunday night as the mastermind behind the multiple bomb attacks was revealed.
Fans of the new ITV drama have waited six weeks to see who was responsible for the shocking crimes across the capital.
The series, starring Vicky McClure, revolved around the work of the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad during a summer bombing campaign.
Over the weeks, viewers have seen Vicky's character Lana 'Wash' Washington suffer tremendous loss as she continued with her duty.
The first episode saw the explosives officer's best mate and colleague, Nut, killed when a van exploded and later, her brother, Billy, was set-up and lost his life.
With fellow expo John Hudson the prime suspect, the final episode centred on hunting him down as they worked out his next plan to attack a political event.
And here's a SPOILER ALERT warning if you haven't seen the last episode yet.
With John sending texts and revealing codes to the reason for the attacks, Lana and the team ended up at the by-election count, preparing for a potential attack by him.
However, he was found in a military chapel, suspected to have taken his own life.
Meanwhile, the real man behind the campaign was revealed as Karl Maguire who had been getting close to Lana in recent weeks.
He had in fact framed John, who had actually just been knocked out, after he became suspicious and tried figuring out the perpetrator behind the bombings himself.
With explosives tied around his waist and a trigger in his hand, Karl declared he wanted justice and revenge for the families of soldiers killed on duty more than a decade earlier which he claimed had been 'covered up'.
But before he could trigger the device, he was shot and killed.
Prior to the episode, Vicky herself took to Instagram to thank fans for their support throughout the series.
Many were commenting on her post, begging for a second series as they shared their dismay that it was all already over.
But moments after the show ended, the ITV voice-over revealed that there will in fact be a second series, due to air next year in 2023.
Line of Duty actress Vicky also shared the news to her Instagram page which was soon being flooded with comments.

"Nope ! Everyone guessed it was him from the minute he turned up, and what was the point of all the other bombs, really hyped up & didn’t deliver on any level," @kimMpaterson commented.
