A woman from Bolton has sadly passed away before an episode of popular ITV show Tipping Point that she took part in aired, the producers have announced.
Cath, a retired school bus driver from Bolton, has died before the episode that she featured on aired, as it was reported just before the show aired on Wednesday, May 4.
The Bolton woman had competed alongside Mark and Afqad as they battled it out to take home a potential £10,000 jackpot, Manchester Evening News reports.

Cath was sent home first, as she said "I don't want to go home", before leaving Mark and Afqad to fight for the money.
In a tweet 15 minutes before the show aired on ITV, Tipping Point's official Twitter account said: "After the recording of today's programme, we spoke with Cath's family who shared the sad news of Cath's passing. Everyone at Tipping Point would like to extend their sincerest sympathies."
The tweet was met with messages of support for Cath's family, as Twitter users rushed to send love and sympathy to her loved ones.
One Twitter user said: "I'm devastated to hear this and would like to offer my condolences to Cath's friends and family."
Another said: "Bless her. Sad to hear when this happens. Thoughts with all the family x"

Host of Tipping Point, Ben Shephard, also posted: "Today's Tipping Point is a poignant one… since recording the show, lovely contestant Cath, pictured backstage here, has passed away. Our thoughts and love are with her family and friends x"
Sadly, Cath never got to see herself on the show, but tributes to the pensioner continued to pour in throughout the show as news broke.
Hosted by Ben Shephard, the show has been on our screens for a decade and totted up 12 series of the daytime quiz game.
And there have been hundreds of contestants who test their luck against the coin arcade machine, but all fans of the show will be watching the latest episode with a sadness etched into it.
