The battle for the title of the next PM and what candidates will do for the country should have been the topic of conversation for the former Chancellor, according to viewers but the interview took an unexpected turn.
Following questions about the energy crisis, and Liz Truss's recent 'lazy' British workers comment, talk surprisingly turned to Sunak's trip to a popular restaurant and what he had ordered there. The question was prompted by an image shared on his Instagram story using contactless payment method to buy a McDonald's breakfast. The line of questioning confused and angered some viewers.
