This Morning viewers are nothing if not varied in their opinions and it was Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly who caused a divide amongst them today. The Geordie duo appeared live in the studio to chat to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the ITV daytime show on Thursday (May 26).
The Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent stars were on the famous sofa to chat to their fellow ITV presenter and off-screen friends about their new book and ahead of the Prince’s Trust awards airing for the first time on ITV tonight (Thursday) which they hosted earlier this week in London.
Speaking about their book, Propa Happy, Dec explained: "This is our first children's book. We got chatting with the NSPCC and we wanted to do something for childhood day this year which is the 10th June and we came up with the idea of putting together a book which is all about making kids proper happy.

"We’ve all had a tough time over the pandemic, kids especially, and we wanted to put together a guide of games and activities and things to help explore how you’re feeling."
He added: "It’s all really good practical advice, we got loads out of it as well. Gratitude lists and things like that, just stopping at the end of every day and how good a day you’ve had. We do it with Isla at nighttime about the nice things we’ve done during the day, and it really has an effect on me as well when we do it."
The pair also discussed their drag act performance on Saturday Night Takeaway earlier this year and the incredible response it got as well as what is happening with this year's I’m a Celebrity. Confirming its return to Australia after two years of being hosted in Wales, Dec said: "Yes, as long as they let us in the country we’ll be there! We really enjoyed our time in Wales but the show has to be in Australia, we have to go back."
But the father-of-one was soon issuing his sidekick with a warning as he revealed more details about the new All Stars show, a spin-off to the main ITV reality programme, which is set to feature a bunch of ex-campmates. Ant confessed: "It’s a spin-off from the main show where we’ve got ex-campmates all coming together in South Africa competing with challenges and trials… "
As he got a sly look from Dec, Ant asked: "Shall I keep talking?" to which Dec replied: "I don’t think you should! I think this is a secret!" Ant still went on to add: "It's going to be great… the good and bad campmates… the viewers need to know, I’m telling you straight."
The pair also enjoyed a good giggle with Holly and Phill before and during their interview. But it didn't impress all This Morning viewers.
@mrgrandan complained: "Yes we know you are mates with Ant and Dec ! Do you not realise it really comes across badly ? #ThisMorning."@notonmytv said: "Really boring watching this love in #ThisMorning."
But others couldn't disagree more. @jowadders01 tweeted: "Can we please have @antanddec presenting @thismorning in the holidays. Gosh they were only on for 5 minutes and they had everyone laughing. Ant you’re naughty but we love it! #ThisMorning #AntAndDec." @Hazelveen87 replied: "Yes what a great idea. They would be fabulous."
@Charlie__Tweets said: "@antanddec making me laugh and bringing a smile to my face as always. #ThisMorning Not feeling great today so thanks lads!" @coxyhockeychick wrote: "God i love @antanddec mixed with phil, holly and @therealgokwan now that's a party id wanna be with! #ThisMorning."
