This Morning viewers were left questioning 'what am I watching' after seeing the latest guest on the show. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back with a mid-week dose of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (January 18) and as ever, it was jam-packed with guests, cookery and more advice from a range of experts.
But Holly, 41, appeared to be a big fan of one guest, who she gushed was 'gorgeous'. The presenter and her co-host were joined live in the studio by Charlotte Taylor-Dugdale who in turn had brought her own special guest with her.
Charlotte appeared on the famous sofa alongside her pet duck, Ham, who lives in a pen in the garden her home in Chorley, Lancashire, and has been dubbed the 'UK's naughtiest duck' after going viral on social media over the way he manages to escape Charlotte's home.
Charlotte shared how Ham is her son's 'best friend' and likes to do the school-run with her while the bird also often wanders into the house to join the family. Talking about her neighbours and how they react to Ham, Charlotte said: "They absolutely love him. One woman who lives near me, he goes round her house and she gives him a cup of tea."
Sharing the mischievous things that Ham gets up to around the neighbourhood, Charlotte recalled: "He terrorises the bin lorry, chases local cats, follows people to school and tries to get into the pub and chemist."
And when Charlotte untied Ham’s wings and let him loose in the studio, Holly was more than happy to share her tea with him. "Do you want a stretch and a cup of tea?" Holly asked as Charlotte reassured her that Ham's double flap was just him stretching. "Ooh you do like a little cup of tea!" the host added after she gestured her cup towards Ham before popping it on the floor for him to enjoy.
But it wasn’t long before Phillip, 60, stepped in to take the tea away, after Ham made a little mess. "We’re going to take that away because I don’t know how healthy it is for you to have a lot," the Oldham-born TV star explained.
Holly, however, was more taken by the animal as she swooned while feeding the duck some rice Krispie treats: "You are gorgeous." She then added: "Oh I love you."
This Morning viewers, however, were baffled by what they were watching. @itspangaea asked: "Why am i watching an interview about the UK’s naughtiest duck? #ThisMorning." @KatieBoom_ echoed: "What am I watching ?? A tea drinking duck Wtaf #ThisMorning." @JoviGirl_1980 laughed: "A duck having a brew, I've seen it all #ThisMorning."
But while @GerryNeillJnr fumed: "@thismorning you are scraping the bottom of the barrel when you're interviewing a duck. @ITV scrap it #ThisMorning," @imbeckyhappy said: "Can we have Ham as a regular presenter please? #ThisMorning." @JudeTaylor25 added: "Ham is taking it all in! He's adorable.#ThisMorning."
