ITV This Morning viewers all say the same thing about Phillip Schofield's 'replacement' Craig Doyle

The love has been pouring in for Phillip Schofield’s This Morning ‘replacement’ Craig Doyle, who has co-presented the flagship ITV show for two days this week. While Holly Willoughby co-hosted the show with Josie Gibson on Monday and Tuesday, she was joined by Craig on Wednesday and Thursday.

Craig, 52, began working on This Morning last year. He initially started out as a competition presenter but soon transitioned into a main presenter on the show, sitting in whenever Holly, Phillip, Alison Hammond or Dermot O’Leary were away.

The Irish presenter is expected to host This Morning for the foreseeable future alongside Holly. Are you happy about this? Let us know in the comments.

One person said of Craig: "ABSOLUTELY should keep Craig on This Morning permanently! He is the perfect fit with Holly!” And a second agreed, writing: "If anyone could save TM I think its Craig. Very good presenter and works better with Holly than a female presenter.”

A third said: “@thismorning Craig Doyle, best decision you ever made! Love love him.” And a fourth commented: “@craigdoyle bringing @hollywills back to life and she's looking less like a robot with each day.” Another person wrote: “if anyone can save this programme it's Craig Doyle. What a lovely fella.”

Phillip quit This Morning on Saturday, May 20 following rumours of a feud between him and Holly. It has since emerged that he had an affair with a younger male production runner and he's quit ITV altogether. The former This Morning host gave an interview with the BBC and The Sun last week - read what he had to say here.

This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
