ITV This Morning's Rochelle Humes left 'close to tears' during flight after exchange with passenger

ITV presenter Rochelle Humes opened up about an exchange with a fellow passenger on a flight that left her "close to bursting into tears". The TV host was travelling with her children.

Explaining the experience, Rochelle shared details of the encounter during a news segment on daytime show This Morning. The presenters and guests were discussing adult-only flights.

Sitting alongside co-presenter Vernon Kay, the discussion debated whether child-free flights should exist - and Rochelle shared her own experiences since motherhood. The mum of three explained that her two little girls are good fliers, but son Blake was "not so" good with flying.

While she didn't specify when it happened, she revealed there was an incident where she was on a flight with her son while he was teething, and he became upset. The Mirror reports that Rochelle shares three young children with her husband Marvin Humes: her daughters Alaia-Mai, nine, and Valentina, five, and 22-month-old son Blake.

Rochelle went on to say that as Blake cried during the flight in question, a fellow passenger asked if she was going to "shut up" her child. She explained: "Before I had children I was kind of I suppose in that camp," referring to wanting adult-only flights. Adding: "However, it didn't really bother me, I'd have my headphones in, I'd watch a film, I'd get my head down. If I heard it, it's someone else's problem right?

"But since having a little one, my two girls are very good fliers but my son not so much. I had a flight where a guy sort of said something to me like, 'aren't you going to shut him up? I was that close to bursting into tears."

Rochelle added she choked up at the time as she told the passenger she was "really trying" to stop her son from crying. "There is nothing worse… I didn't even know my child, he was teething and I was like, 'I don't even know how to settle him myself'."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
