Rochelle Humes was "close to bursting into tears" during a flight with her youngest son Blake, after a rude comment from a fellow passenger.
Speaking on Wednesday's instalment of This Morning, Rochelle and co-presenter Vernon Kay were discussing the idea of adult-only flights. Guests on the show shared their opinion about child-free flights, as the former The Saturdays singer opened up about her experience of trying to calm her son during a flight.
Rochelle shares three children with her husband Marvin Humes, her daughters Alaia-Mai, nine, and Valentina, five, and 22-month-old son Blake. Rochelle told viewers about one incident where her son was teething and became upset on the flight, while she tried to calm him, writes the Mirror.
Rochelle recalled what she used to be like on flights before having kids, saying: "It didn't really bother me, I'd have my headphones in, I'd watch a film, I'd get my head down. If I heard it, it's someone else's problem right? But since having a little one, my two girls are very good fliers but my son not so much. I had a flight where a guy sort of said something to me like, 'aren't you going to shut him up?'. I was that close to bursting into tears."
Rochelle added she choked up at the time as she told the passenger she was "really trying" to stop her son from crying. She went on: "There is nothing worse… I didn't even know my child, he was teething and I was like, 'I don't even know how to settle him myself'."
The singer and TV host recently renewed her vows with husband Marvin, 10 years after their wedding. Taking to Instagram, Rochelle shared a black and white photograph of her hand on top of Marvin's at the special ceremony, as she gave fans a preview from behind the scenes.
Rochelle wore a long-sleeved lacy dress, which featured a simple ribbon at the wrist, while Marvin appeared to be wearing a dark-coloured blazer or suit jacket. The former pop star simply captioned the photo: "Opps we did it again... Ten down forever to go (sic)," alongside a white heart emoji.
Rochelle's fans and followers were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "Congratulations beautiful people." Another posted: "So so happy for you both," while a third added: "can’t wait to see the pictures."
Former TOWIE star Billie Faiers commented: "Huge congratulations to you both," while Marvin's JLS band mate Aston Merrygold left a heart eye emoji alongside a crying face and a black heart.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
