Phillip Schofield addressed his TV absence at the start of This Morning.
The 61-year-old returned to present today's episode of ITV's flagship daytime programme. The broadcaster has been away from the show for three weeks as he took an extended Easter break as part of what ITV confirmed as "pre-planned leave".
He was set to front Monday's episode alongside Holly Willoughby, however his usual presenting partner was forced to miss the show after she contracted shingles. Phil was joined by Rochelle Humes and was glad to return to the show as he sent a message to viewers at home.

He said: "I wanted to say that it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here. Also to you, I wanted to say thank you for all your kind messages and support, which were really appreciated."
During the presenter's time away from the show, his brother was found guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy. Timothy Schofield was charged with 11 sexual offences involving a child between 2016 and 2019, including two of sexual activity with a child.
The 54-year-old denied performing sexual acts on the teenager and claimed they watched pornography together and had masturbated while sitting apart. However, the civilian police worker was found guilty at Exeter Crown Court on April 3.
His This Morning presenter brother took to Instagram to share a statement after the verdict was reached. He said: "My overwhelming concern is and has always been for the wellbeing of the victim and his family. I hope that their privacy will now be respected.
"If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my sibling, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family. These are despicable crimes, and I welcome the guilty verdicts. As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a brother."
