Josie Gibson told off Gino D'Acampo for interrupting her segment as they both appeared on This Morning. The presenter wasn't at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (November 8) but returned to the studio for the latest installment of the programme's new game, 12 at 12.
Josie helped launch the new game, in place of the popular Spin To Win, on Monday and it sees viewers given the chance to win up to £12,000. The game is, as the name suggests, played at 12 o'clock, and to enter, all viewers just had to do was work out which This Morning cast member’s face has been hidden.
Yesterday's show was the first time This Morning fans got to see the new game in action. Josie presented the competition as she swapped the usual studio backdrop for a black curtain and stage setting with 12 large gold vaults visible behind her. After correctly figuring out it was Rochelle's face that had been hidden, one lucky caller was given the chance to open six of the 12 vaults and take home whatever prizes were behind the doors.
After a successful run yesterday, with the caller winning £11,250, Josie was back, dressed in a gorgeous blue denim dress, to play it all again with a new player. But before 12, as she prepared to tease the latest installment, Gino was back in the studio as not only was he in the kitchen, he was also hosting another 'agony uncle' segment.
Around an hour into the show, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were teasing what was still to come in the show before handing over to Josie to share the latest on the new competition. As she did, the mum-of-one said: "Thanks Josie," mis takingly thanking herself.
"Behind me is our bank of vaults. Each of these vaults numbered one to 12 -" Josie then stopped as mutterings could be heard behind the camera. "Gino... I'm trying to do a fabulous competition here, do you mind?" Gino was then seen in the kitchen and heard saying; "Carry on," before Phillip tried to explain what the conversation was about.
"You've just thanked yourself," the 60-year-old presenter said. "You just said, 'Thank you, Josie,'" Gino then echoed before a surprised Josie asked; "Did I?" Going along with her mistake, the former Big Brother winner joked: "Well thank you me and everyone else." But Gino chimed: "You can't thank yourself on television..." before Josie tried to start her link again.
But This Morning viewers were quick to comment on social media about Josie's hilarious blunder. @EnfieldGarry tweeted: "Josie thanked herself haha brilliant. #ThisMorning." @Charlie017463 posted: "Did she just thank herself?? Creased #ThisMorning."
