TV star Emily Atack was comforted by Holly Willoughby on This Morning today (January 31) after she opened up about the abuse she has received online. The actress and comedian, who first found fame playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the popular E4 comedy series The Inbetweeners, broke down in tears on the ITV programme whilst chatting to Holly and Phil about her experience.
It comes as the 33-year-old is set to explore her 'own lived experiences' of sexual harassment online in a BBC Two documentary set to air on Tuesday night.
Emily Atack: Asking for It? will look at how the abuse Emily experienced escalated dramatically during lockdown and she explores why it is so widely normalised for women to receive hate online.

During her This Morning interview, the former Celebrity Juice star was left in tears after revealing the extent of the abuse she has received, revealing she is sent explicit pictures and messages every day.
Revealing one encounter with a man online, Emily told Holly and Phil: "He says that he tucks his children into bed and then comes online to abuse me. Sometimes he asks if I'll get involved with him and his wife, and then he says he wants to do it behind (his) wife's back while my children are asleep.
"He calls himself 'Daddy Dave to me' and constantly says the word 'daddy' which is a really psychologically horrible thing."
Emily, who became runner-up on the eighteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2018, then stopped as she broke down in tears.
Phil then asked: "Does he show his face?," as Emily shook her head. Whilst Emily was crying, Holly, 41, then reached over to hold her hand and comfort her, as she told her 'I know, it's horrible."
Phil added: "You want to be able to track them down and identify them because of what they are putting you through."
Wiping away her tears, Emily added: "I'm terrified of exposing someone and then I've ruined their life." "You don't need to worry about anybody apart from yourself," Holly told Emily.
You can watch Emily Atack: Asking for It? on BBC Two at 9pm on January 31.
