During a phone-in on This Morning on Monday, June 12, pawnbroker Dan Hatfield kept giving pretty amazing news to people calling in to ask advice on some old junk and heirlooms in their possession.
And it was a pair of mirrors that caused everyone's favourite dancing DJ and TV host, Dermot O'Leary, to tell the evaluation expert in the studio to "shut up" mid phone-in. A caller hoped for some advice on a pair of elaborately designed mirrors and told the hosts that she'd saved them from being chucked in a skip.
Dan, who has appeared on ITV show Million Pound Pawn so hopefully knows what he's on about, said: "If these were going to be in a skip it would be a travesty," as he revealed that from an image evaluation, the mirrors looked like they could be Rococo in design, from the era of George II. "I can date them to about 1740 to 1750," added Dan to which Dermot couldn't help but blurt out "Shurrup!"

And the caller exclaimed: "Oh my god!" Dan explained that mirrors in that era were worth a fortune and seen as a luxury item and status symbol."
"If it is what I think it is, and I have to look at them in person, we'll be looking at £6-8,000 on these." The caller said she needed to 'sit down' and that she was shaking as Holly shouted: "You nearly put these in a skip!"
