ITV1 daytime show This Morning has come under fire recently after Phillip Schofield quit following rumours of a feud with Holly Willoughby before later admitting he had an affair with a younger colleague. Now Holly has returned after a two-week break and resident agony aunt Deidre Sanders was also back on set on Tuesday, June 6 - when she told viewers how much she loves working on This Morning.
After her section, when Deirdre, Holly and co-host Josie Gibson gave advice to viewers phoning in, Deirdre made a comment about the show, saying how much she loved being a part of it. She said: "I just want to say quickly, it is so good to be back here. The people are so lovely to work with, I love this kind, caring and supportive environment."
Earlier in the week Holly gave a statement while fighting back tears. She said: "Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you okay? I hope so. "Feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil and I imagine you might have been feeling a lot like I have, shaken, troubled, let down, worried about the wellbeing of people on all sides of what's been going on and full of questions.
