There was not a dry eye on The Voice tonight as Sir Tom Jones dedicated a moving performance to his late wife.
The singer was married to his wife Melinda Trenchard, known as Linda, for 59 years before she died aged 75 in 2016 with lung cancer. During tonight's show, he sang "I Won't Crumble With You If You Fall" taken from his latest album 'Surrounded By Time'.
Prior to his performance, Sir Tom explained how the song was "very important" for him. He said: "People that you love, sometimes they need to be backed up and you need to give them strength and encouragement so that's what this song means.

"You know, I'll do anything for you but I won't crumble with you if you fall. You know it's a serious song." The lyrics of the song include the verse: "I will wake in the morning if you call. And I'll stand beside you as long as I can. I will hold back the evening of your sun. But I won't crumble with you if you fall."
During his performance, fellow judge Anne-Marie could be seen crying as she listened to the emotional lyrics. Upon finishing, Sir Tom said: "My wife, she was dying of lung cancer.
"I was always able to fix stuff, I was always able to do anything if she needed me. I was always there. But she said 'you can't crumble with me now, you've done everything you can, you must carry on, you must carry on and do what you do.'"
Taking to Twitter, viewers shared how they were in tears after listening to Sir Tom. Antonia said: "Anyone else crying buckets listening to Tom Jones."
Kazza tweeted: "Crying my heart out at Tom’s singing about his wife." Ceri said: "Tom Jones - second time I’ve heard him sing that song and it’s got me crying again."
