The Chase viewers couldn't believe it when The Simpsons appeared to take over the popular family game show.
The ITV quiz series sees a panel of general knowledge enthusiasts trying to beat a Chaser every week.
And Wednesday's episode gave everyone extra entertainment when people realised the names of the contestants matched those on US cartoon series The Simpsons.
Lisa, Maggie, Bart and Marge, who have appeared on the cartoon since it first aired in 1989, all got ready to answer the questions as they lined up in a row behind the desk.
Delighted fans couldn't help but go online to express their joy at seeing such a quirky line up
Some were disappointed that Homer was missing but most just were wowed at the fact The Chase producers had managed to source such a brilliant team.
One said: "Am I watching The Chase or The Simpsons lol #TheChase #TheSimpsons."
Another added:"You have to give the bookers of @ITV and #TheChase a round of applause. Marge - Bart - Maggie - Lisa. #TheSimpsons."
And someone else observed: "There's no way these people were randomly picked. Some staff member's a fan."
After Bart failed to get through to the final, one said: "Aftershow party in Moe's for Marge, Maggie and Lisa if they beat the Chaser!
After Lisa's future was in jeopardy, The Menace who was the resident Chaser said: "In keeping with The Simpsons theme, it seems Lisa might be the clever one in the family, but you're still going HOMER.
Bradley replied: "Home..R, oh wow."
Lisa, Maggie and Marge eventually got £18,000 by the final with the The Menace saying: "That was pretty much perfect."
However the team were defeated by the Chaser in the end.
Fans couldn't wait to see more quirky line ups: with one saying "Tomorrow on The Chase we'll have Ringo, Paul, John and George," referencing band members in The Beatles.
Another said: "How could they not have a Homer in the line up. It's an outrage."
Homer is however a difficult name to find in The UK.
And someone remarked: "Well cmon to be fair there's not many Homers in the UK"
Meantime host Bradley Walsh confessed in 2019 that he had not yet seen an episode of The Simpsons, despite over 700 having been broadcast.
After asking a contestant in May 2019 if: "The first full episode of what TV animation aired in the US on 17th December, 1989, he said: "Really, 89, wow. Never seen an episode of it. Have you?"
