The Chase's Anne Hegerty came under fire on Thursday after her comments to one of the show's contestants.
Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players on this week's fourth edition of the popular ITV programme. Win, Lindsay, Sonali and Paul were testing their wits against one of Britain's biggest brains in a bid to win big money.
Paul, a DJ from York, was last up to face the Governess, aka Anne Hegerty after Sonali was sadly caught by the Chaser. He had an impressive cash builder, gaining a potential £6,000 in the bank.

But it was his offers from Anne that had viewers talking. After his successful round, he was given three monetary amounts to choose from.
The high offer was £53,000 while the middle number would see him play for the £6,000 he earned, and the low offer was -£9,000. Some fans of the show thought her low offer was "harsh".
Taking to Twitter, Teena Massam said: "Just tuned into #TheChase crikey. Minus £9k is that the highest minus yet? Harsh from Anne." Paul Bishop said: "Minus 9k... that's mean! But shouldn't go low anyway". Carly W said: "Minus 9k after he got six right? Anne is savage today".
Paul chose the £6,000 and unfortunately he was beaten by the Chaser. Win and Lindsay played Anne in the final in a bid to win £27,000 - but went home empty-handed.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
