ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh 'upset' as Anne Hegerty unveils contestant's TV past

Bradley Walsh was 'upset' while hosting tonight's The Chase after a contestant kept some big secrets from him.

The host of the ITV quiz show welcomed four new faces to the game as they competed to beat the chaser, Anne Hegerty, in an attempt to go home with a cash prize. The team consisted of Lawrence, Niall, Kellyann and Rodabe.

However, it wasn't the first time on TV for one player. According to Anne, he had been secretive as he failed to mention that he had appeared on multiple quiz shows in the past.

The 48-year-old organic chemist played first and managed to get a respectable £6,000 in his cash builder round. But this surprised the chaser as she unveiled his secrets.

As Lawrence took the middle offer, Anne said: "Well, I must admit, I thought £6,000 was a little disappointing from a man who has been on Mastermind so many times." Lawrence grinned, as he replied: "Yes, that's right."

But Anne wasn't finished yet, as she added: "Not to mention 15 to 1." The player smugly replied: "Oh you've done your research."

The Governess told him off as she said: "You kept that very quiet". Meanwhile, Bradley stood open-mouthed in disbelief. The host sadly asked the contestant: "Why didn't you tell me?"

Lawrence replied: "Someone might have found out Brad" as he pointed at Anne. Looking dumbfounded, Bradley replied: "But I'm your playing partner.

"Why didn't you tell me? You've got to tell me stuff like that. I'm your mate. I'm so disappointed. Is there anything else you're keeping from me?"

Lawrence replied: "Many things" before Bradley swiftly moved on. The player went on to make it through to the final adding the first lot of prize money to the funds.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
