ITV The Chase Liverpool student wows Bradley Walsh with unique knowledge

A player on The Chase wowed Bradley Walsh with his "unique" education on tonight's show.

The host welcomed four new players to the show with hopes of going home with a cash prize after taking on the chaser. Ramji, Eoin, Lucy and Gemma went head-to-head with "Dark Destroyer" Shaun Wallace to test their wits.

Eoin, who was originally from Dublin but is now studying in Liverpool, revealed to Bradley that he had a very niche education - he claimed to be the only person in the UK doing his degree.

The 21-year-old said he is studying Hispanic studies and politics - basically Spanish classes mixed with politics. He said: "I'm the only person doing that in the UK."

Baffled, Bradley asked "So what have you got, a one on one tutor or something?" He replied: "I split my time between Catalan Spanish classes and then politics classes. So I just go into other people's classes basically."

Eoin had hopes of spending any winnings on going to the World Cup. When not studying he said he was a keen sportsman and often plays football himself.

However, his Spanish and politics knowledge wasn't enough to get him through to the final round, as after entering the Chase for a middle offer of £5,000 Eoin was sent home with nothing. Bradley shook the player's hand as he said: "Sorry to lose you Owen." He added: "Good luck with all the Catalan stuff, I wish you luck."
