ITV The Chase fans thrilled by contestant's Scouse admission

The Chase fans were left thrilled after a player made a Scouse admission during Tuesday's episode.

Bradley Walsh was back for this week's second instalment of the popular ITV quiz show. As ever, he welcomed four strangers to the studio.

Alvin originally from Blackburn, Liz from Farnham, Bairbre from Wetherby and Roy from Manchester, teamed up in the hopes of beating one of Britain's biggest brains and taking home big money.

Facing the Vixen, Liz was the second player to take to the podium. After she told Bradley, 62, that she is a confectioner who makes fudge, the host then asked her what she does to relax.

To the surprise of many fans, Liz said: "I'm into music. Everything from Scouse Drill to Vivaldi". Asking her to clarify, Bradley said: "Did you just say 'Scouse Drill?'", to which Liz said she did.

She added: "It comes from having a teenager in the house, you get bombarded with it".

Scouse Drill is a type of rap performed by young Merseysiders, many of whom keep their identity hidden. It has become popular largely on social media platforms such as TikTok.

After Liz's music admission, many The Chase fans took to Twitter to have their say. Joe said: "Did she just say Scouse Drill? Hahaha go ed" [sic]

Lindsey said: "Ngl I can't imagine Liz listening to Hazey but you do you girl" [sic]. JRsArmchair said: "Packs and Potions [by Hazey] is Scouse Drill I believe".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
