ITV The Chase fans praise 'humble' player who 'really needs the money' to buy dinner

Fans of The Chase were really pleased for one player on tonight's show as she planned to use any winnings on a meal.

Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players to take on the Chaser - tonight's quizmaster was Mark 'The Beast' Labbett. Keith, Stu, Keisha and Lorraine tested their wits in the hope of bagging a cash prize.

Fans were really rooting for one player in particular, as Keisha told the ITV host that she planned on using any winnings to treat her fiancé to a slap up meal. Asking a bit about her, Bradley said: "What do you do for a living?" She replied: "I work in a supermarket."

Keisha went on to say she was employed by Tesco and Brad scolded her. He said: "You're not allowed to say that. We can't do any branding, we can't say that. So when I say which one you say 'one of the big ones'."

She said: "That's your fault that is." Bradley asked her the question again and she answered: "One of the big ones."

Talking of what she would spend any prize money on, Keisha said: "I'll probably spend it on my partner. I just want to treat him to something nice like a Michelin star meal or something. Something fancy."

Brad said: "Ok. For a slap up meal at a Michelin star restaurant, I wish you luck."

Keisha went on to bag £3,000 in the cash builder round and accepted a middle offer for the same amount from The Chaser. She powered her way through the questions and made it back to the team to join them in the final round.

Fans on Twitter were delighted to see it as they praised the player. Elizabeth said: "#TheChase Finally a shop worker on a minimum wage. Someone who actually needs money instead of the usual rich contestants." KD said: "Aww she’s so humble wants to win to treat her partner to a dinner #TheChase."

Basweld said: "Keisha lovely, nice, down to earth and needs the money..#thechase." Anna said: "Awww I like her. She’s normal and seems nice #TheChase"
