ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway viewers say GoCompare star Wynne Evans made the final 'all worth it'

Tonight we saw the last episode of the series of popular ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway. The jam-packed entertainment show, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, had a evening full of laughs and surprises.

We saw the hilarious Lee Mack guest announce the show, while former Strictly Come Dancing professional and Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse starred in the totally bonkers 'Get Out Of Me Ear' prank. Meanwhile, Stephen Mulhern hosted the final Ant vs Dec. A Welsh icon even made an appearance in the final episode of the 'The Polter Guys' and viewers were shocked.

Last week, Ant revealed that it was the penultimate episode of the programme, to the audiences' disappointment. He said: "Next week is the last in the series. So it's your last chance to nominate someone for the last happiest minute of the week."

In the final episode of 'The Polter Guys' we saw Welsh singer and actor, Wynne Evans take to our screens in his well-known role as the 'GoCompare man' and destroyed Grey's Monument and the Tyne Bridge. Viewers took to social media to express their excitement at Wynne appearing on the show as a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man-type character walking over the streets of Newcastle. You can read our interview with Wynne on being 'the most irritating man on television' here.

Wynne later took to social media and said: "Yes that is me with @antanddec cheers guys." You can keep up to date with the latest what's on news from across Wales by subscribing to our newsletter.
