The drama series Professor T is back for a second series. The drama first aired in 2021 and was very well received by audiences. The second series will continue to follow Professor T, played by Ben Miller, as he continues to help the police solve unusual crimes and rekindle his former relationship with Chief Inspector Christina Brand played by Juliet Aubrey. Viewers will also be shown more secrets from Professor T's troubled childhood.

Who is in the Professor T cast?
Ben Miller as Professor T: Ben Miller, who is known for his role as DI Richard Poole in Death in Paradise, is back in the lead role of Professor T.
Frances De La Tour as Adelaide Tempest: Playing Professor T's eccentric and overbearing mother Adelaide Tempest is Frances De La Tour. Frances has had a very successful career both in TV and on stage.
Emma Naomi as Detective Sergeant Lisa Donckers: Working alongside Professor T to solve the cases is Detective Sergeant Lisa Donckers, who is played by Emma Naomi. Emma has previously starred in Bridgerton and The Trial of Christine Keeler.
Juliet Stevenson as Dr Helena Goldberg: Juliet Stevenson is playing a new character for series two, Dr Helena Goldberg. Juliet is best known for her roles in the films Truly, Madly, Deeply, Emma and Bend It Like Beckham.
Barney White as DS Dan Winters: Also on the police team and working with Professor T is DS Dan Winters who is played by Barney White. Barney has previously starred in Social Suicide, Una, and Taboo.
Juliet Aubrey as DCI Christina Brand: Playing the former fiancée of Professor T is Juliet Aubrey as DCI Christina Brand. Juliet has starred in the BBC series Middlemarch, the ITV series Primeval and Lewis.
Where was Professor T filmed?
The series is set and filmed in Cambridge and at the University of Cambridge. The first series was also filmed in Belgium as Professor T is an adaptation of a Belgium TV series of the same name. Various locations at the University of Cambridge are used including Jesus College and West Court.
How many episodes are in the new series of Professor T?
There are six hour-long episodes in the new series of Professor T. The series will begin on Friday, September 16 at 9pm on ITV.
The second episode is scheduled to air on Friday, September 23 however this may change as ITV continues to cover the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
