Lorraine Kelly has very publicly hit out at ITV viewers who contacted Ofcom to complain about Ekin Su Cülcüloğlu's Dancing on Ice performance at the weekend, asking if they had 'nothing better to do.'
An early favourite to win with bookies to win the skating show, Love Island winner Ekin-Su took to the ice alongside pro partner Brendyn Hatfield on Sunday night as Dancing on Ice returned for a new series. Prior to stepping onto the rink for the first time in front of a studio audience and millions of fans at home, Ekin, who won Love Island with other half Davide Sanclimenti in the summer, admitted she was feeling competitive and thought she could win.
However, while her routine to Britney Spears' Toxic, which saw her don a Britney-esque body suit give a playful nod to her Love Island antics as she crawled across the ice, got everyone talking; it wasn't enough to keep Ekin-Su and Brendyn out of the skate-off, with them condemned to the first skate-off o 2023 this weekend.

And, as well as having to come to terms with that unexpected blow, Ekin-Su has also been the subject of 100 complaints to Ofcom, with critics contacting the broadcasting regulator, having branded her performance 'inappropriate' for early evening Sunday TV.
The complaints about Ekin-Su were addressed by Lorraine on her ITV show on Thursday and, while quipping that the routine was 'more crawling on ice,' she fired a dig at viewers who rushed to complain to Ofcom, saying: "The 100 of you, honest.ly, have you not got better things to do."
Ekin-Su was also defended by Lorraine's studio guest, I'm A Celebrity star Scarlette Douglas who said: "Yes Ok, it was a bit raunchy, it was a it provocative; but she was imitating the dance routine to Toxic. So she's got that lovely costume and it's a dance routine; it's kinda what Britney brought to it right?"
