ITV's Judge Rinder left totally confused by Welsh contestant as he can't understand a word he says

Welsh TikTok fans have been left in hysterics by a clip featuring Judge Rinder trying to understand a Welsh teenager. TikTok star tomjoneswales has shared the hilarious moment when the ITV judge, whose full name is Robert Rinder, came face to face with the young man from Wales seven years ago.

In the short clip, which the TikToker has captioned with the words “no one can understand us”, Rinder meets the-then 19-year-old Connor Jones from Caerphilly - but can't understand a word he says. After summing up, the TV judge says to the teenager: “That’s what you want from this case, am I right Connor?”

“You could say that like,” he replies and Rinder is taken aback. “What?” Rinder says and Connor reiterates: “You could say that like.” Still confused, the TV judge asks once again: “You could say what?” and Connor again replies: “You could say that like.”

Even more confused, Rinder says: “I could do what?” and Connor gives up, saying: “Oh don’t worry butt!”

The funny moment came from an episode of ITV’s Judge Rinder that first aired in 2016. In the interesting case, Connor was quizzed by Rinder after being fined for dressing up as a clown to scare people - read more about that here.

In response to the clip being shared, one TikToker commented: “Honestly we speak so fast it’s unbelievable.” A second echoed: “I love Wales,” and a third wrote: “The amount of times I’ve been told to speak English after saying something like this.” A fourth then added: “Absolutely love Welsh people.”
