ITV's Holly Willoughby in tears after co-star career announcement

Holly Willoughby was in tears after her co-star's announcement.

The mum-of-three appeared on the final ever episode of Celebrity Juice last night. Holly was one of the original team captains on the comedy programme and appeared on it until 2020.

She reprised her role on the Happy Ending episode alongside Fearne Cotton and Keith Lemon. The last episode was broadcast last night and also featured current team captains Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore.

Keith Lemon took to Instagram after the show to issue a thank you to fans after the final programme. He said: "Fanks. The end! Goodnight, lotsa love x"

Holly reshared the post with her Instagram followers alongside a tearful emoji. The This Morning presenter has returned to front ITV's flagship daytime programme today.

She revealed Friday's show will be her final one for the year as she enjoys a well deserved Christmas break. She said: Morning Friday!!!! Last day of term for us today… lots of fun and Christmas chaos… also joined by the @englishnationalopera who will be singing us through the morning… they need your help!!! Will explain more, so important we protect the arts!!!"

Fans flooded the comments to wish Holly a Merry Christmas.

Juliet Sear said: "Gorgeous!! Have a wonderful Christmas break."

Patricia added: "Most of us will miss you, but Alison and Dermot or whoever takes over will look after us. Hope you all have a fab Christmas"
