For many King Charles III's coronation will be the first coronation they have ever seen or witnessed and there's plenty of TV coverage to show the historic event. ITV has announced its coronation schedule and there's lots of TV to enjoy, including special episodes of Loose Women and royal documentaries.
On the day of the coronation, Saturday, May 6, ITV are showing King Charles III: The Coronation from 8.30am to 3pm and there will be no adverts. Presenters Julie Etchingham and Tom Bradby will guide viewers through a day of pageantry and celebration. The ITV team including Mary Nightingale, Nina Hossain, Charlene White and James Mates will be at the key locations ensuring viewers don't miss a moment during six and a half hours of live, uninterrupted coverage.
For the week before the coronation, from Monday, May 1, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will all be celebrating. On Friday, May 5, the entire Lorraine show will be dedicated to the coronation including the best food for coronation street parties to the most fashionable party looks.

Also on Friday, May 5, there will be a very special episode of This Morning as they join forces with another flagship ITV show, Coronation Street. Hosted live from Weatherfield, the home of Coronation Street, viewers will enjoy an epic street party.
Loose Women are also joining in the fun as the studio is transformed into a great British garden party on Friday, May 5. Good Morning Britain will be aired on Saturday, May 6 to join in the coverage on the day of the coronation.
In a first for ITV, live audio description of the coronation ceremony will be available through the ITV1 TV coverage, and a live signing of the coronation ceremony will be available on ITV3. If you miss the coronation you can catch up as there will be an hour-long highlight show in the evening on Saturday, May 6.
Airing the week before the coronation will be a series of ITV Royal documentaries including Charles: 50 years a Prince, Charles: Our New King, Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall, Inside the Crown: Secrets of the Royals, Camilla's Country Life and The Queen's Coronation in Colour. On Monday, May 8 Loose Women will host an extended 75-minute show for the Coronation Bank Holiday.
