Love Island runner-up Gemma Owen has given fans an update on her life since leaving the ITV2 dating show. The 19-year-old, who reached the Love Island final with her partner Luca Bish, 23, has started her own YouTube channel and released her first video since leaving the villa.
It comes after an announcement from PrettyLittleThing earlier this week which revealed that Gemma has signed a reported 'six-figure' deal as their new UK brand ambassador. Michael Owen's daughter is following in the footsteps of 2019 Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, who signed a big deal with PLT after the show and became the brand's creative director last year.
Gemma's huge deal with the Manchester-based global fashion brand came after she impressed CEO Umar Kamani and will see Gemma design her own collections as well as help the brand launch their new resale platform ‘PLT Marketplace’ where shoppers can buy and sell second-hand clothes.

Gemma talked about the exciting deal in her new YouTube video titled 'My first video and life after Love Island'.
She said: "I just literally can't believe it. I'm so thankful for everyone at PLT they are the most incredible people and I'm so excited to start working with them.
"I got offered a few brand deals but what made me sign with PLT is the confidence that I had in the brand. I had confidence that I would be able to make it my own collection. We've talked about trying to include some sustainable fabrics because I know that's really important.
"If you watched Love Island you'll know my style is quite neutrals, things that can't ever go out of fashion, stable wardrobe essentials and that classy business-women kind of look."
The international dressage rider then went on to tell fans about other opportunities she may have in the pipeline.
"Aside from that I've been exploring other options with different brands, maybe some TV opportunities, just putting the feelers out and exploring new things," she smiled.
"This crazy new life is amazing but I'm literally non stop these last couple of weeks. Once things settle down and I get back into my routine I want to start riding again because I've only rode my horse three times since I've been back.
"I can't wait to start competition again, that's my goal and I don't want to just give that up as it's something that I've trained for forever."
The business owner, who has her own brand OG beachwear, then went on to talk about Luca and gave fans an update on their relationship.
Gemma revealed: "Things are going really really well. Since being out of the villa things have just changed for the better. Feelings have obviously grown so much more and I wasn't expecting it to be going how it is."
Despite going from strength to strength, Gemma confirmed the pair are still yet to make their relationship official.
"We are not [official] yet. I feel like there's been a bit of a build up now and Luca has a bit of pressure on him, but it is definitely on the cards and I think it will definitely be very soon, I'm really excited for that," she revealed.
Soon after leaving the villa, the pair jetted off to Portugal where the fishmonger met her famous dad Michael Owen for the first time.
"He met my dad and my family friends which was amazing. Fair play to him its quite an intense environment but it couldn't have gone better. They seem to get on really well," Gemma said.
Luca then made a brief appearance in Gemma's YouTube video and showed off Gemma's dog.
Later in the video Gemma admitted during the last two weeks of the show her and Luca were both ready to leave the villa.
"There's only a certain amount of feelings you can get for someone in that environment and the days were a bit repetitive. We knew everything about each other and I was just ready to get back on the outside world and experience different things," she said.
