Love Island fans have been doing some digging following Davide Sanclimenti being crowned the winner of the ITV2 dating show alongside his new love Ekin-Su Culculoglu. The pair triumphed during the programme's finale on Monday night (August 1), hosted by Laura Whitmore in the garden of the Mallorcan villa.
The Turkish actress from Essex, 27, and Italian business owner, who lives in Manchester and is also 27, won over viewers with their fiery but passionate relationship that spanned most of the series. They beat Gemma Owen and Luca Bish in the final two, while Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came in third and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page placed fourth.
Viewers had been backing the pair to win since they reunited prior to the annual Casa Amor twist which tends to pull couples apart as opposed to bringing them together. Despite Davide kissing a few of the new girls, his connection with Ekin-Su continued to grow and it wasn't long before they expressed their love for each other.

And now not only have their found a partner, they're also £50,000 richer as ITV ditched the option for one of the winning couple to steal all of the prize money for themselves. But it turns out Davide may not be too worried about the cash.
The 'Italian Stallion' has rarely discussed his occupation and finances on air. But Davide's company 'S Deluxe Shisha' provides electronic devices from 'the best manufacturers in the world’ and offers catering services to venues across Manchester.
According to the Mirror, a mission statement on the company's website, meanwhile, reads: "S Deluxe Shisha is a premium service offered in some of the most exclusive hospitality venues located in North West, England.
"We have partnership with the most exclusive restaurants and nightclubs around the UK, carrying a wide selection of top quality hookah products in different shapes and sizes. We offer catering-service, with the highest quality of luxury electronic shisha and the purest French made e-liquids. High quality ingredients combined with the latest technology on the market."
And it has come as a surprise to Love Island fans who have been watching Davide on-screen for eight weeks. @Tiba_Hx tweeted: "Davide owning a Shisha business is the last thing i expected." @AmarasView said: "I just learnt that Davide is an entrepreneur owning a shisha business. This guy was always meant to have a Turkish wife. I’m convinced they’re soulmates. I can’t get over them two!! #EKINDE."
