ITV Love Island fans scream 'you're on TV' as they're left 'traumatised' by Kai comment

Love Island fans were left screaming 'you're on TV' as they shared their disgust at a comment made by Kai Fagan. The PE and science teacher's time in the ITV2 dating show's villa got off to an interesting start last week as he made his debut alongside nine other new islanders.

Kai, from Manchester, swapped partners multiple times during the first coupling of the winter series as he caught the eyes of the girls. After coupling and recoupling a number of times, Kai ended up with Tanyel after she 'stole' him from Olivia, who stole him from his first 'partner', Lana.

But during a recoupling in the first week of the ninth run of Love Island, the first winter series in three years, Kai found himself in a new couple as he was chosen by Anna-May Robey. However, during a dramatic double dumping earlier this week at the hands of the show's new Australian bombshells, Kai was left single when Anna-May was given the boot alongside Haris Namani.

Then, new Love Island bombshells, Ellie Spence and Spencer Wilks caused a stir during their debut during a recoupling in Thursday evening's episode (January 26). Ellie, a 25-year-old business development executive at a law firm, and Spencer, a 24-year-old e-commerce owner, made a shock entrance to the villa during Wednesday’s episode after a dramatic dumping.

The two islanders were given the first pick in the recoupling, with Ellie first to choose. As she stepped forward, she said: "I’ve decided to couple up with this boy because from what I’ve seen so far he seems really funny, he’s handsome, I don’t think he’s met his match yet and I’m really looking forward to getting to know him better," before opting to couple up with Ron Hall, who was in a couple with Lana Jenkins.

Spencer then followed suit and said: "I’d like to couple up with this girl because in her time in the villa, she’s had her ups and downs. She seems genuine and straight up. I’d love to get to know her on a deeper level," before revealing it was Olivia Hawkins he wanted to be paired with after she was left single following Haris' exit.

But things were a lot less difficult for Kai who coupled back up with Tanyel and following a dramatic evening, the two love birds woke up after being able to head to bed together. While Tanyel admitted she "slept like a baby", Kai couldn't help make a cheeky comment which didn't quite have the desired effect.

"Call me daddy," he tried to sexily say, but Love Island viewers flocked to social media to share their disgust. @cmrbby tweeted: "Sorry did i just hear kai say ‘call me daddy’ on national television? #loveisland." @thehungrytodger wrote: "Kai did not just say call me daddy. Absolutely not #loveisland."
