Love Island fans are convinced that Kai Fagan is 'lying' after being stunned by a key detail. The PE and science teacher, from Manchester, was among the first 10 contestants to make their debut on the ITV2 dating show as it returned to screens on Monday night (January 17).
A bunch of new singletons have ditched the UK for South Africa and are set to call the show's new luxury £1.2m villa home for the next few weeks - if they're not dumped from the island.
Kai made his debut during episode one of the ninth series alongside financial advisor Ron Hall, TV salesman Haris Namani, airport security officers Shaq Muhammad and farmer Will Young. They were then joined by the girls who got to choose who they wanted to be partnered with in the first coupling.

The girls looking for love this year are celebrity makeup artist Lana Jenkins, TV salesman Haris Namani, ring girl Olivia Hawkins, student Tanya Manhenga, hair stylist Tanyel Revan, administrator Anna-May Robey, airport security officers Shaq Muhammad and farmer Will Young.
And Kai already found himself at the centre of some drama as he swapped partners multiple times as he caught the eyes of the girls. After coupling and recoupling a number of times, Kai ended up with Tanyel after she 'stole' him from Olivia, who stole him from his first 'partner', Lana.
But Kai got viewers talking for a different reasons as they were left gobsmacked to find out he is 24-years-old. @_awoabdi tweeted: "KAI IS 24?!! HE’S LYING YOUR HONOUR #LoveIsland." @ttangfastics posted: "I cannot believe Kai is 24, he looks at least 30, if not 35 #LoveIsland." @shawncurchxr said: "I don’t believe Kai is 24. That man is 35 #LoveIsland."

Meanwhile, due to his start in the show, and his looks, Love Island fans couldn't help but compare him to another islander who has not one but two chances at finding love on the hit show. @monicalisten asked: "Is Kai Adam Collard’s brother???#LoveIsland." @clarebrownn_ tweeted: "Kai & Adam Collard are the double of eachother #LoveIsland."
@itsrenwa posted: "Kai = Adam collard 2.0 #LoveIsland." @KieranCurl99 wrote: "Is Kai (Adam Collard) playing the Hokey Cokey or something? The amount of times he’s stepped forward. #LoveIsland." @thisisnotrachek shared: "That’s not kai, that is literally adam collard back for a 3rd season #LoveIsland." @_divineee_ added: "Kai be looking like adam collard and is starting to move like adam collard #LoveIsland."
Former Love Island star Zara McDermott also had the same thoughts as she took to Instagram to give her opinions on episode one of the ninth series, which is now being hosted by Maya Jama. She filmed Kai speaking to the girls in the South African villa and wrote: 'Is this Adam Collard reincarnated?!' referring to her ex who she met on the show in 2018.
