It has been a week of drama in the Love Island villa with a new arrival, a dramatic departure as well as a fair share of tears and tantrums. However, the mood was lifted after a surprise performance by singer Becky Hill.
The special appearance was met with whoops and cheers, turning around the atmosphere created by Jacques O'Neill's unexpected departure from the villa, which was shown in the episode on Tuesday, July 12. However, the mood amongst some fans wasn't improved by the star performance with some followers of the series taking to social media to complain.
As the Brit Award-winner took to the stage for the VIP performance with backing dancers for a high energy show by the pool, the mood lifted in the villa. Islanders were thrilled to let off some steam after a tense and upsetting time, reported Manchester Evening News. To recap, following the Casa Amor recoupling process, viewers witnessed the arrival of 2018 Islander Adam Collard as a new bombshell. What followed was the departure of Jacques O'Neill, which left both his partner Paige Thorne and best friend Luca Bish in tears.
