Thursday night's episode of Love Island was one not to be missed as it was finally time for the much-anticipated Casa Amor recoupling. Fans of the ITV2 show were sat on the edge of their seats waiting to find out each of the Islanders' fate as the girls joined the boys back in the main villa.
As the 'ultimate relationship test', the male and female contestants were split up for a few days in a bid to test their loyalty and commitment to one another. The girls were whisked away to Casa Amor as they were joined by six new men, whilst six new girls arrived in the main villa hoping to turn the boys' heads.
Last night's show was full of surprises as the contestants chose whether to 'stick' with their couple back in the main villa, or 'twist' and recouple with one of the newbies. The drama soon unfolded as some unlikely Islanders chose to stray whilst others had their Casa Amor antics exposed.

One of the first shock moments of the night saw Dami Hope choose to recouple with Casa Amor girl Summer Botwe, whilst Indiyah Polack also picked new boy Deji Adeniyi.
Dami and Indiyah had hit it off since their partners Amber Beckford and Ikenna Ekwonna left the Island after a shock double dumping two weeks ago. The pair appeared to be smitten with one another before Indiyah headed off to Casa Amor but things soon changed as Dami’s head turned almost immediately.
Dami quickly got familiar with new girl Summer as they locked lips and shared a bed together. Meanwhile in Casa Amor, Indiyah was seen getting to know Deji, but kept things respectful by not kissing him.
During the recoupling, Dami announced his new pairing by saying 'Summer is not over' before Indiyah walked in with Deji. When Dami said he was happy with his decision, Indiyah quickly replied: 'Seems it." Things then got frosty when Indiyah told Dami: “Expect the unexpected. May the best heartbreaker win.’
Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were coupled up before she left for Casa Amor. During the recoupling, Davide decided to stick with Ekin-Su as he said he believe they have a “unique connection”. Ekin-Su also returned to the villa single as she chose Davide over the new boys.
But the drama later unfolded as new girl Mollie Salmon revealed she thought she had a connection with Davide, and shared that they had slept in the same bed and kissed whilst Ekin-Su was away.
One of the happier recouplings was Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, who both chose to stay loyal to one another and remain in their couple. Luca emotionally declared his feelings for Gemma Owen before she returned saying: “Every day she was gone I missed her more and more”.
Danica Taylor, who was in a friendship couple with Jay Younger, decided to recouple with Casa Amor boy Josh Le Grove and Jay also chose new girl Chyna Mills. Danica and Jay told each other they were happy for one another.
Andrew Le Page said he had “mixed emotions” after hearing what the new girls had said Tasha Ghouri had been saying about him behind her back. Despite admitting he still had feelings for Tasha, he chose to re-couple with Coco Lodge.
Tasha returned to the villa with Billy Brown after revealing she had come out of her shell and the girls had seen a 'different' side to her whilst in Casa Amor. Whilst speaking to Laura Whitmore, she said had to stay “true to herself” but things turned sour as Andrew hit back calling Tasha “fake” and saying she “tells more lies than Pinocchio”.
Despite Jacques O’Neill's unfaithful antics in the villa, where he shared a bed with and kissed new girl Cheyanne Kerr, he decided to stay loyal to Paige Thorne.
Paige said she was “super happy” to be staying with Jacques, who beamed with happiness as she walked back into the villa on her own. However, the situation took a dramatic turn as Cheyanne unveiled that she thought she had a 'connection' with Jacques and told Paige what went on whilst she was in Casa Amor.
After all the drama unfolded, viewers quickly took to Twitter to call the recoupling the 'best episode' in Love Island history.
@DeeNatalie1 wrote: "One of the best love island episodes I’ve ever watched. One for the books. Probably the best season too."
@danielleakrawi agreed: "I swear this may be the best episode in love island history," as @d00dmelanie shared: "This is the best episode of #LoveISland ever I am SCREAMING every 2 minutes."
Another viewer @sarah_bourki added: "Someone give me the love island producers addresses cause they deserve flowers for the best love island episode of all time #LoveIsland, as @nat_ward84 agreed, "This must be the best @LoveIsland episode in history."
