Love Island viewers were blushing as the lights went out in the Love Island villa. As the couples settled in for the night and cuddled up, eagle-eyed fans spotted something in the darkness that caught their attention.
Viewers thought the pair were getting frisky beneath their duvet as the ITV2 dating contest screened a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. @DanniRobertson said with a blushing emoji: "Oooh Luca took his boxers off."
@JasmineKamason asked: "Were Luca and Gemma doing it?? Because he offed his boxers." @seriyah_wondered: "Luca took off his boxers and got on top of Gemma hello??? what’s going on." And @menaremad asked: "Did I just see luca take off his boxers?"

The pair could then be seen kissing with fishmonger Luca, 23, lying on top of dressage rider Gemma, 19. @comoleches questioned: "Did they just show Luca taking his boxers off and having sex." And @amymarrry pointed out: "Feel like that’s the first time I’ve actually seen luca and gemma kissing in bed."
The following day it was a very different scene as the smitten-pair were sent to a seaside setting for a romantic first date after growing close in the famous villa. Talk turned serious as they discussed their future together.
Luca said he wanted Gemma to be his girlfriend after they leave Mallorca and return to the UK. Gemma, the daughter of footballing star Michael Owen, agreed but said she would have to run it by her mum first.
"I want you to be my girlfriend," Luca told her. "If your mum likes me I'm sure we'll be there." Back at the villa there was excitement as she admitted to the other girls that she's falling for him.
