Love Island fans have found themselves asking 'why' as they watched the villa rocked by the latest dumping. Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown was kicked out of the plush abode after being left single during a surprise recoupling on the ITV2 dating show on Wednesday night (February 1).
The 25-year-old was sent home after her former partner Tom Clare chose fellow contestant Ellie Spence instead. The semi-professional footballer’s shock decision comes after he previously confided in fellow Islander Olivia Hawkins that he did not like Ellie.
On Tuesday’s episode, the islanders were interrupted from celebrating Tanya Manhenga’s 23rd birthday by a text announcing the surprise recoupling – which revealed that one girl would be dumped immediately.

As the recoupling on Wednesday drew to a close Tom picked Ellie over Zara, telling the former that he wanted to give her a chance to stay in the villa, even if she was with "someone else".
On her exit, Zara said she felt like it was her “time to go” and that she was going to “hug her dad” when she returned home. Speaking about her leaving, Olivia said afterwards: "I know myself and Zara haven’t had the best ride in here, we’ve had our ups and downs. But I honestly think she’s such a great girl and she deserves the best."
But Love Island fans were furious with the decision. @alahnismith_ tweeted: "Zara has been gone for 2 secs and I’m already done with this season #LoveIsland." @MaryanneAgyei posted: "#loveisland how dare you take Zara off the show…I’m done watching."
@boodlemynoodle echoed: "ARE THEY HAVING A LAUGHHHH, WHERE IS ZARA?!!! WHAT A JOKE F**K OFF IM DONE WATCHING #loveisland." @reignpinks added: "I haven’t even paid attention since zara got voted off can’t be asked anymore #loveisland."
The show did, however, go on and two new male bombshells joined the villa: Jordan Odofin and Casey O’Gorman. "I think the other boys in the Villa should be worried about me because everyone’s up for grabs,” said 28-year-old senior HR advisor Odofin.
Casey, a 26-year-old recruitment consultant from Tring, added: "What I’m bringing to the Villa? Blue eyes, a cheeky smile and a lot better chat than the other lads. I’ve definitely got my eyes on a few girls in the Villa."
However, as the latest episode came to an end, viewers were left wondering what had happened to the 'tomorrow night' previews that used to be a feature of the hit show. @LexiiFrench_ tweeted: "Ok love island stop with no tomorrow night shit #loveisland."
@Sophiegracei posted: "Fed up of there not being “tomorrow night” #LoveIsland." @TJScaverton commented: "A preview to tomorrow night would have been nice… but Love Island really said nahhh tune into tomorrow night’s episode at 9pm! #LoveIsland."
@Fiya24590103 asked: "What happened to ‘tomorrow night’ teasers?? #loveisland." @fordsofwinsford posted: "The only person making mad moves is Iain Sterling not saying “tomorrow night” for 3 days #loveisland." @reluoa added: "How many more days without a “tomorrow night” bc I can’t take it anymore!! #loveisland."
