The Loose Women panel were left in fits of giggles on Thursday, May 4, after an etiquette expert during a segment on the royal coronation pointed out just why you shouldn't raise your little finger while drinking - and the reason will shock you.
The show saw Judi Love, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Charlene White tackle subjects such as the tooth fairy, Madeleine McCann's devastating disappearance 15 years on, Taylor Swift's new love and etiquette ahead of King Charles' official coronation - a segment which saw the ladies learn the proper way of taking an afternoon tea, the correct order at which to enjoy it and how to pronounce the word 'scone'.
But what really tickled the panel was why you should not lift your pinkie finger when enjoying a drink as William Hanson explained that it signalled whether you carried an sexual transmitted disease (STD) or not.

It came after Judi and Coleen, who were enjoying an afternoon tea prepared for them, took a sip from a champagne glass with Judi having her little finger sticking out. This action caused William to blurt out "Judi, finger in please! Thank you."
Shocked at this, Coleen asked: "Can you not put your finger out?" To which William revealed: "No. Not finger out. It was a sign in the French court that someone had a sexually transmitted disease!"
"I think they had their leg out, not their finger in," laughed Judi, alongside the entire studio audience and panellists.
Fans of the show were also in hysterics with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts. @fulbut wrote: "Judi & Colleen have got me in tears #LooseWomen"
@coxyhockeychick added: "BEST tv moment ever!! @loosewomen god I love William!! @1Judilove #FingerIn #Loosewomen" Another commented: "this is literally the only time i've enjoyed watching #LooseWomen".
It comes after the great debate over how to pronounce the word 'scone' and whether you put jam or cream on first - it depends on whether you're on the side of Devon or Cornwall, where clotted cream originates, declared William. Apparently, while Americans pronounce it slightly more elongated as if spelt 'skohne', "we" say 'skon'.
