Denise Welch said she would not cry out and swear allegiance to King Charles, claiming it is "outdated".
Millions watching the coronation around the world are to be asked to cry out and swear allegiance to the King, with the public given an active role in the ancient ceremony for the first time in history.
Charles's coronation has been modernised to include the first-ever Homage of the People. Lambeth Palace said it was hoped the significant change to the historic service will result in a "great cry around the nation and around the world of support for the King" from those watching on television, online or gathered in the open air at big screens.

It replaces the traditional Homage of Peers in which a long line of hereditary peers knelt and made a pledge to the monarch in person. The liturgy - words and actions of the coronation service - has been revealed, having been decided upon in close consultation with the King, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Government.
The Archbishop will call upon "all persons of goodwill in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of the other Realms and the Territories to make their homage, in heart and voice, to their undoubted King, defender of all".
The order of service will read: "All who so desire, in the Abbey, and elsewhere, say together: All: I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God."
It will be followed by the playing of a fanfare. According to the Chronicle, host Ruth Langsford was keen to get her ITV colleagues opinions on Monday as to how they felt about the coronation and whether they would be taking the suggested pledge of allegiance.
Denise, who, when asked by Ruth for her thoughts, sarcastically said: "What do you think?" before adding: "Listen, I've got nothing against the Royal Family; however, of late, I am pledging allegiance, if any, to Harry and Meghan. Because of that, I won’t be pledging my allegiance. I don’t even know what you’re pledging for.
She said: "‘I am loyal and would pledge my allegiance to my family, and that’s all. I think it’s very outdated. I’m just not a fan of what’s going on at the moment… I wish them all the best in their king and queen-ness."
Denise's sentiments were echoed both by colleague Brenda Edwards and the studio audience, with just one person in the crowd raising their hand to say they would be taking the pledge of allegiance for King Charles.
