As Prime Minister Boris Johnson faces a vote of no confidence from his own MPs, Loose Women star Denise Welch has said she is "too scared of the alternative" and listed Jeremy Hunt as someone she would not like to see take over. A string of scandals, including the illegal parties during lockdowns, has meant that MPs are now considering if they would like Boris Johnson to remain as Prime Minister.
Speaking on Loose Women Denise said she was "no fan of Boris" and "no fan of this government" however would still prefer Boris as Prime Minister to the alternative. She said that Jeremy Hunt would "have had us almost Sellotaped into our homes" during the coronavirus pandemic.
She said: "I would rather have the devil at the moment because I am too scared of the alternatives. Jeremy Hunt is being mooted and he would have had us almost Sellotaped into our homes."

Fellow Loose Woman Ruth Langsford said the vote of no confidence was coming at an "odd time" as she spoke about the cost of living crisis and the Ukraine war. Coleen Nolan added that she did not trust any member of the Conservative Party.
