ITV Loose Women's Carol McGiffin was quick to explain her change in appearance as she took her seat on the show's panel. The TV star returned alongside Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Nadia Sawalha for Thursday's show (March 2), with discussion swiftly turning to Carol's face.
Carol was prompted by Kaye to explain why she had a "seriously red face" as she appeared make-up free on the ITV lunchtime programme, as reported by MEN. She was quick to point out it wasn't because she'd had a cosmetic procedure, saying: "It looks like I've had a cosmetic procedure or something but I haven't.
"I woke up with a seriously red face, itchy, so I've got no make-up on," the 63-year-old went on to say before Kaye commented: "It's gone better from this morning though. You had an antihistamine didn't you?"

Carol replied: "Yeah which made me feel weird. It's not pleasant and I'm fine not to have any makeup on." Kaye then replied: "Joking aside it's a horrible thing and we're really glad you're here. We'd rather you here then not here. Hopefully, the wee tables will work and you'll be fine and dandy."
Elsewhere in the programme, the attention was on Carol again as she exited the Loose Women WhatsApp group. They were talking the latest political drama after Matt Hancock's messages were leaked.
After explaining she's not a fan of being part of the group, Carol said: "I remember when Janet left and Denise [Welch] was horrified." To which Brenda commented: "But you'll be thinking there's things going on that I don't know about."
Nadia eventually asked: "Why don't you just leave?" As Carol tried to explain: "I message people personally. I just don't like the whole group thing. There's no need for it." Carol then got her phone out and left the group live on air as the others also checked their devices to see who responded to Carol's sudden 'bye'.
