Carol McGiffin is celebrating her fifth wedding anniversary while on a holiday to Thailand with her husband Mark Cassidy. The pair got married during a secret ceremony in Bangkok back in 2018.
The Loose Women panelist, 62, kept it under wraps before finally telling her co-stars on the popular ITV daytime programme. She said: "We did it on our own, just us two, nobody at all. It had to be like that - all or nothing.
"We thought, 'We won't tell anyone just yet'. We liked having a secret. Then the secret carried on. We did tell all our close friends and family. In a kind of way we had little celebrations with our families and close friends and probably missed a few out - so sorry about that."
And today she's posted a picture on Instagram to her followers and fans of her and Mark, 37, lapping up the sinshine abroad. In it the couple are all smiles, while Carol wraps her arms around husband.
She said: "Today. Five years married, fifteen years together. Still having a good time. In our place. #thailand"
"Awww love you both x x x", someone commented. Another said: "You're an inspiration, you really are." A third posted: "Lovely photo. Where have those years gone. I remember when you first mentioned Mark on Loose Women. Congratulations and enjoy and I know you will. xx"
While a fourth person penned: "He’s a lucky man lol!" A fifth replied: "Jealous!!!! Have fun xxx"
