A moving change was made during the latest edition of Loose Women as Brend Edwards emotionally opened up alongside her daughter following the anniversary of her son's death. Jamal Edwards died suddenly on February 20, 2022, aged 31, of a cardiac arrhythmia caused by recreational drugs.
There was an outpouring of shock at the news of the loss of the SB.TV founder who helped launched the careers of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J, and Brenda and her daughter have since been surrounded by support and launched a trust in Jamal's name. Hitmaker Ed also re-launched SB.TV's F64 with a tribute to the late music mogul last month.
During Thursday's episode of Loose Women (February 23), Brenda was back on the panel after filming an interview alongside her daughter, Tanisha, for the programme following the anniversary of Jamal's tragic passing.

During a crossover between This Morning and Loose Women in which Charlene White teased what was coming up on the ITV lunchtime show, she told Phillip and Holly as she stood alongside Brenda, Judi Love, and Kelle Bryan: "As you can both see and everyone watching, we are wearing blue today and that's for a very good reason."
Placing a supportive hand on Brenda's arm, Charlene continued: "One year on from his passing, we're celebrating Brenda's son Jamal and blue was his favourite colour. He was the entrepreneur who launched the careers of Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and countless others and today, Brenda and her daughter Tanisha will be paying tribute to a special son and brother."
When Loose Women was live on air, Brenda shared how blue was significant as Jamal was a huge Chelsea supporter and that's why they all decided to wear different outfits in that colour on the show.
During the pre-recorded interview with Brenda and Tanisha, the pair spoke about Jamal and the legacy he's left behind, with the pair helping keep SB.TV going in the way Jamal would have wanted. They also praised the support they received.
In the interview, Tanisha said: "I do feel really honoured to have that. Even if I do have a really bad day and I want to fall off, at the end of that bad day I’m like, I’ve actually got something to do. I’ve got work to do." Brenda added: "Keep going," before breaking down in tears as Tanisha brought her in for a tight hug.
Returning to the Loose Women studio, Brenda could be seen dabbing her eyes with a tissue as her co-stars surrounded her in support. Charlene offered to go to an ad break to give the former X Factor contestant turned West End star time to compose herself but Brenda bravely continued.
And Loose Women viewers were flocking to social media to show their support. @MissSarahWelf tweeted: "A beautiful tribute for Jamal on loose women. I'm in tears xxxx." @CD13092 said: "God love @brenda_edwards & her daughter today. Thinking of you #LooseWomen." @SallyPrice4 shared: "Remembering Brenda's son Jamal, love to Brenda and her daughter Xx #LooseWomen."
