ITV Loose Women make big change to panel as they share tearful tribute to co-star's son Jamal Edwards

Loose Women made a change to today's show as they paid tribute to Jamal Edwards.

Monday's show saw Charlene White lead as they showed their love and support to co-star Brenda Edwards following her son's death.

The 31-year-old SBTV founder, entrepreneur and music pioneer tragically died on Sunday after a 'sudden illness'.

Charlene started the show by explaining that the panel had been bumped back up to five panellists from the four that had been in place since Covid restrictions began in March 2020.

The ITV news presenter was joined by Judi Love, Linda Robson, Carol McGiffin and Frankie Bridge for the sombre show.

She started the show by saying: "Any of you who watch the show regularly will know the love Brenda had for her children was massive.

"Her heart was full of so much love for them.

"You know just how shocked Brenda is and just how it's hit all of us who knew him and all of us who love Brenda. We want to do Brenda proud."

Charlene then revealed she had left Brenda's home in the early hours of this morning after rushing to be by her side with co-star Judi.

"I don't want to be doing this, but we have to. It's heartbreaking," Judi said.

"All we can do is try and do the best we can to support Brenda and honour her amazing son in such a difficult time. We just wanted to be there for her yesterday."

Charlene said that Brenda would be watching and that they promised to give her a few laughs as she and her daughter, Tanisha, come to terms with their heartbreaking loss.

They shared their own tribute, showcasing some of Jamal's incredible work for which he was awarded an MBE in 2014.

The show also played different songs between each ad break - from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J - whose careers Jamal helped launch.
