ITV Loose Women fans appalled over show's 'silence' on Queen's health

Fans of Loose Women were appalled today when the show was not pulled from air.

The nation has been collectively concerned for the 96-year-old Queen's health as Buckingham Palace said she was under medical supervision at Balmoral. Prime Minister Liz Truss said: "The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.

"My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time."

However, the talk show failed to mention anything about The Queen as they continued as normal. They had segments which set off general chit chat with topics such as 'is chivalry dead'. Rival broadcasters, such as BBC, had rapidly switched to live coverage from London.

Fans on Twitter were less than impressed as they bashed the ITV show for being "insensitive" and "disrespectful". Irene said: "I can’t believe this is on air when the queen is unwell. Coverage is on BBC and other channels. #LooseWomen."

Ryan said: "Seems a little insensitive from ITV to not put #LooseWomen on hold over the news about the Queen." Fi said: "News breaking on all channels about the decline in the Queens health, yet #LooseWomen are yammering on about someone's hysterectomy... No respect."

Meanwhile, Ly said: "BBC - breaks it’s regular programming to tell us the breaking news … However - #LooseWomen are still jabbering on about themselves. Come on @itvstudios the queen is more important than these women."
