ITV I'm A Celebrity Olivia Attwood's friends claim she could return as they deny Covid rumours

Olivia Attwood could return to the Australian jungle after mysteriously making an early exit from the camp. The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star, 31, was 'heartbroken' when medical concerns forced her to leave the ITV show short, but her friend and fellow former Love Islander Georgia Harrison has predicted we haven't seen the last of Olivia Down Under.

As reported by the Mirror, Georgia, 27, highlighted her friend had 'so much airtime' during Sunday's opening episode and was set to be 'one of the best campmates', and that she would not be surprised to see Olivia return to the jungle to give it another go. I'm a Celebrity fans were gutted on Monday as Olivia was spotted flying home to England, with ITV confirming after the star left the camp for precautionary medical checks it was deemed 'not safe' for the former Love Island star to continue.

A spokesperson on behalf of Olivia went on to post a statement on the star's Instagram page, in which it was promised viewers would 'hear the truth from Olivia in due course' regarding her vague exit from the reality TV show. It has been claimed the reality TV celeb had been pulled off the show due to breaking the Covid-19 bubble, but Olivia's friends have shut that theory down.

As the country waits to learn the real reason Olivia is back home in England, Georgia added: "I tell you what, I reckon she will be back next year. She was what everybody was tuning into watch, I reckon she might be upset for a bit but I don’t think it is the last opportunity she will have on I’m A Celeb. She will be back another time."

As the Mirror revealed on Monday, Olivia left the jungle after medics were concerned over the results of a health test in camp. After further checks were made away from the jungle it was ITV's decision to remove Olivia from the show.

New claims have suggested the Love Island star's exit of the camp area left for medical tests meant she broke the Covid bubble and was unable to return, but a source close to the star told the Mirror: "The show is very Covid safe but the so-called bubble is not the same as it was in Wales last year for the show."

ITV declined to comment further on the claims a bubble was broken. They have been strict with the celebs before going onto the show, making them all isolate for seven days and have tested them for Covid.

Olivia could in theory have tested for covid before returning to camp. And if she was seen on site by medics without going to hospital, they would also have already tested for covid.

In ITV's original statement regarding her departure, it made no reference to covid. A spokesman said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show.”

The reality TV star had been tipped to do well on the ITV series, as she became the first ever former Love Island star to appear on the show, and her exit has disappointed I'm A Celebrity viewers.

"To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement," a statement shared on the star's page on Monday reads.

It added: "She dreamed of doing 'I'm A Celeb' for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would). You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year. Ps. Who's going to roast Matt Hancock now?!"
