ITV I'm a Celebrity fans praise Owen Warner for kind gesture as Charlene White refuses to sleep in RV

ITV I'm a Celebrity fans praised Owen Warner after he made a kind gesture on Thursday night's show (November 17).

The Hollyoaks actor volunteered to sleep in a hammock so Seann Walsh could sleep on a flat bed. The comedian had previously complained of a bad back after sleeping in the hammock every night.

It comes as drama continues surrounding the camp's sleeping arrangements. Charlene White, who became a camp leader, was given the chance to have some luxury in her life and could have slept in a comfortable bed in an RV.

But during Wednesday's programme, she was left far from impressed to discover a spider also making the RV home, and even spotted a creepy crawly in her bed. She refused to sleep in the RV ever since, prompting anger from some viewers.

But at the start of Thursday's show, Seann woke up feeling refreshed. He said in the Bush Telegraph: “Owen, god bless that man, he gave up his bed. I needed that sleep. I really, really, really, really, really, really needed that sleep.”

Matt Hancock said: “Good morning, how was your flat bed, did you sleep through?” as Sean replied: “Incredible!” Matt replied: “You look a whole lot better.”

In the Bush Telegraph, Sean added: “I’m back, this is what it feels like to be alive.” In camp, Seann told Owen: “God bless you," as Owen admitted: “This is awful, I don’t know how you have been doing this.”

Seann said: “This is why I’ve been in such a bad way.” Owen said of sleeping in the hammock: “You’re semi-awake focussing on not falling out of bed. You’re resting, you’re not sleeping.”

Charlene said: “I’ve said that I’m fine sleeping in a hammock. We’ve all got to alternate. Even if I sleep in there [the RV] there will still be two people left in a hammock. We’ve all got to alternate so no-one spends seven days sleeping in it.”

Charlene in the Bush Telegraph added: “I keep telling everyone that I’ll sleep in the hammock, which I’m really happy to do. I think maybe I need to be more forceful about it tonight.” Owen said to Charlene: “I’ve got more chance of having a rest in it than you.”

Owen in the Bush Telegraph said: “I feel like saying, go on, sleep in the hammock and I bet you, in the middle of the night, she’s going to sneak up to the RV and get in that bed. Charlene’s like my mum in here, it’s like me putting my mum in a hammock whilst I’ve got a bed, so we’ll see.”

Viewers were quick to praise Owen for his kind gesture, but were still left angry at Charlene's refusal to sleep in the RV.

Taking to Twitter, @ben_1995 said: "I’ve always thought hammocks looked comfy. Bless Owen for taking one for the team #ImACeleb" as @itsgayjakex added: "owen is such a pure soul."

@lameeday said: "Owen is too kind, pls aunty Charlene it’s time to get in the RV #ImACeleb," while @PrincessPKaur penned: "Charlene not sleeping in the RV is becoming infuriating. She literally can sneak in once Hancock is asleep. Also Owen is very kind."

@andreab45138912 reckoned: "If Charlene won't sleep in RV then let someone else, bloody ridiculous #ImACeleb" as @_pickering1 said: "I honestly don’t understand how Charlene can look all sorry for herself when there’s a nice bed that ONLY she can sleep in?! #ImACeleb".

Meanwhile @Diamondmarydoll demanded consequences for Charlene, adding: "Charlene should be bloody made to do a forfeit. A comfy bed at the RV. She's busting my nut #ImACeleb".
